Dpx Dpx 175 lpi is the limit of the polyester...not the DPX...you can push 200 lpi if everything is perfect...the DPX is a great CTP...Polyester is not as good as metal CTP but definately better than film to plate... Now stochastic screening is more of a problem because all the dots will need...

Ivy, it depends on the Thermal CTP system....if you are talking about a Trendsetter or a newer Lotem or Magnum, yes the thermal laser is very expensive to change, over $20,000 USD rebuilt and $36,000 new from Kodak but with Screen, laser diodes can be changed as they go bad and cost only $1500...
