I have learned, if I write a postscript file and Distill, the image crops to the photo box. Not sure if that is the path I'm going to take.

I don't want to change resolution, but I'm not seeing an option to crop to the picture box?

The issue comes in that the PDFs contain the full image creating large PDFs. Is there a way for InDesign to crop to the picture box?

Throughout book different cropped areas from a large image are being used. If a color correction is needed, it needs to be done to all. Is there a program that will allow a cropped area to still be linked to the large image for any editing? Hope this makes sense.

I've tried every combination (except the one that will work) - heavy and light, changed from Normal to Opaque to OpaqueIgnore, regular trapping and keepaway - but I'm not getting a trap that is only the process colors.

InSite is losing it's license about every 2 hours. A reboot corrects it, but then it loses it again. The last change made was a Windows security update. No one else seems to be complaining about that though. Has anyone had this problem?

In the Acrobat Properties window it says Corel PDF Engine Version 15.2.0.686 / PDF version 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x).

In PitStop Inspector, if I change the ICC Profile to U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 the color stays C0 / M0 / Y0 / K100. And the Output Preview now shows the color to be C0 / M0 / Y0 / K100. So, the question must be linked to the ISO Coated v2 (ECI) profile.

If it was Spot, wouldn't the PitStop Inspector label it as Spot? It's giving a CMYK mix C0 / M0 /Y0 / K100. No mention of a spot color.
