    Mavericks support for Printready 2012

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone has any info on Mavericks support for latest version of Printready 2012. Major changes with SMB and Java are thing of the past so if 2012 works on Mountain Lion, I believe there is a good chance of working on Mavericks, but I am hesitant to upgrade before...

Acrobat XI Output Preview & Forms

You might be onto something here, it looks like bug was not fixed 100%. I am getting various cut offs, sometimes at 4300% sometimes at 5440%, etc.. on various files. Perhaps it is combination of file and machine performance that decides at which point it will stop showing you percentage? As far...

    Prinect server is not accessible

No ideas but I believe either Prinect does not like virtual environment or you have issue with your network/server. We are on the latest version 2012 and we went virtual for the first time. We are getting the same error as you that we never had before, usually couple of minutes after first start...

Acrobat XI Output Preview & Forms

I have updated to 11.0.4 and zoomed in to max is working fine with Output Preview. Form, I am not sure, it does look like it is lagging behind little bit but I am not sure how it was lagging before. You might try this 11.0.4 update and see for yourself.

    Acrobat CC

I agree Matt 100% and I do use Preflight report religiously but I still use Output Preview with separations as a quick visual way to check certain file, page, etc.. much faster than running preflight to look at report. I guess both ways have a place in my daily routine and I don't see it...

    Acrobat CC

I am in same boat as you are but there is no need for such attack on Leonard. It does not mater how much I disagree with Adobe's policies on Software licensing with CC and direction Acrobat is going, I am happy that we have such a knowledgeable person part of our community. Leonard is great...

    Acrobat CC

I don;t see anything crazy about it. You have to have high degree if you want to understand preflight report. Output Preview is simple, visual tool that is easily understood by many.

Has anyone heard of cleaning numbers to make smaller files?

So just do a test and prove them wrong :)

White Photoshop Illustration for Tissue Paper Printing

We misinterpreted that you want to print in white. In such case what you have original AI file is good as is. Printer is asking for EPS probably thinking you might have vector version for highest quality printing, in your case your Yarn has shades so the vector is out of question. Tell them it...

White Photoshop Illustration for Tissue Paper Printing

I would suggest simple way to achieve this. Open your Yarn3.psd file in Photoshop, hit Comm+I (Invert). That will change your image to Black, change it to Grayscale since it is still RGB. Save as Photoshop EPS. Send the file to printer and if they complain, find another printer. This is what you...

What do you think of the new "Adobe Cloud?"

There is another thread with lot's of noise on the same topic. The way I see it is you either upgrade (what Adobe wants) or you change your company's policy to accept only PDF's and CS up to CS6, effectively shooting yourself in a foot as your competitor will tell designer/client, yes dear, we...

    Signa question

Why are you installing when you obviously should not be doing it? Leave it up to Heidelberg tech or somebody in house who has the knowledge of your setup, network, config, etc.. In a nutshell, you have to point Signa to your licensing server, but that was one of the questions during the install..

    Creative Cloud thoughts

Oh it'll hurt, both ways I am sure. There are plenty of companies like yours or mine that are in same boat, yours is 14, we have 18 licenses. We might buy couple of licenses to have ability to convert in house incoming Indesign files, but that's it for now. Time will tell if Adobe will hurt...

    Creative Cloud thoughts

We still did not upgrade. It does not make sense, price is double from what we were paying. If ever price come down to what we were paying before, we'll consider it.

    Options !!!

Why don't you talk to Heidelberg and ask them for advice, it is free. They should be able to asses your business needs and make a package that will suit your business the best. It would also help to have tech champion in house to verify your needs, I doubt anyone can make a good call without...

    Refining Issue

That explains it a bit better. So it definitely is not an image but PDF is retained as text and other objects, nested inside the Pages. In order to prevent font changing which is probably caused by subset font or similar thing, you can try outlining fonts before refine or set it to outline fonts...

    Refining Issue

If it's really an image, what you are saying is not possible. It looks like tables are objects with text nested in pages, that would be the only explanation for change that I can think of. Why don;t you post one of these PDF's or at least one page out of PDF with an issue and someone will figure...

    Creative Cloud thoughts

This is what I have trouble understanding. The way you are presenting is that we will have access to CC version that can edit and save files even if we stop subscription. We might not have abillity to edit newer files from that date going forward but previous files, sure. That is not how it...

I don't think Quark is solution, they could not get their stuff together for years, what makes you think they will do it now??

    Creative Cloud thoughts

I've seen this same response from some other Adobe evangelists and employees in this last week and I can not say I appreciate this attitude. When your huge customer base is unhappy with move you are making and wants to be heard, you want to engage in conversation to try and repair relationship...
