    New iJetColor 1175Pro- Day 1 - Ouch!

The printer had two broken parts upon arrival. The input sensor was broken and the registrations assembly was unadjustable. We were able to use a paperclip to get the registration to stay in a good spot. First order is for 2000 duplex No. 10's. Setup is a breeze. Had to figure out printing on...

    Best envelope printer?

Our iJetColor 1175 Pro installs in the next few days Aug 28. I will chime in after I get a good feel for it. It's going to take over our offset envelope printing. We have been using a Heidelberg QM2 for single and two color orders and a 52 for 4 color. This will be way more cost effective and...

So much downtime with our KM 14000 we are thinking about replacing with a lesser model. The C6100 is no longer available. Is the C7100 okay?

The C14000 has been a nightmare. I have never seen so many service calls and downtime in my many years in the industry. We are mulling replacing it with a "lesser" KM machine. We also have a C6100 and it is a production beast. The vast majority of the downtime for this printer is associated with...

That was it. YAY The setting I found did the trick. The order is printing now. Happy Friday.

C6100 Creo front end. Multiple 8 page books from a single PDF?

Hello, I was given a production PDF with 20,000 pages. The client wants 5000 8 pg. self-cover saddle-stitched booklets. Is this something the front end can even do? Can I tell it to make every 2 sheets / 4 pages a separate stitched book? It seems we would need to print static with variable...

    Ricoh 9200 vs konica12000

My personal experience. We have the C14000 and a C6100. Not exactly yours but I am GLAD beyond measure we are not renewing our lease when it expires. The downtime is killer. I have 10 service calls this month so far. 15 last month and a similar number the month before that. I cannot recommend KM...

Ricoh vs Cannon vs Xerox Quality...

I registered for a membership but I am pretty sure it will be revoked since we are not customers "yet". My personal plan is to remedy this, as you know. The samples Michael B. sent are fabulous, BTW.

    Xerox Versant 280 Scratch Lines?

Wow these are pristine compared to NorwoodPress pics.

What to get after Xerox Versant 3100, what is in same class or a bit better?

Please search for posts relating to the Konica c14000 on this forum. I wish I could recommend it, but I cannot.

    Xerox c60 - registration adjustment

It seems that if the fuser pressure was uneven it would effect all papers the same. It's possible the paper with the issue is warping a little. This could be a grain issue as [email protected] suggested.

    what is a PostScript 3 Unit Type M42 to a Ricoh C5300s?

In my opinion that is a fair investment that will keep open the possibility to widen your offerings when desired / needed.

    Versant 280 Ghosting?

At my previous employer (RIP) we had a V80 and after 4 years it really started to go crazy. We did exactly what you said here. I felt like the service dept just brushed us off. I got one of our executives involved who got in touch the local Service manager's boss and Xerox went nuts trying to...

Ricoh vs Cannon vs Xerox Quality...

One more question. Can the iX series print on chromatography substrates? We currently have to print on our Wide Format equipment.

Ricoh vs Cannon vs Xerox Quality...

Can a iX series device meet G7 standards? It would be incredibly nice if we can come come close to our G7 commercial presses with a digital press.

    Thick Business Cards/Board??

Second number is the grain. 18x12 = short grain. 12x18 = long grain. You are correct on running short grain cover through digital presses as they can't make the bends needed to go through the press. Long grain should be used for only text weight substrates.

Help with Imposition 6x9 Perfect Bind Job

I will 100% second this! QI is amazing and incredibly easy to use. It makes imposing all kinds of stuff super easy. The trim and shift function would help with his front/back alignment issues in a few seconds.

    Need equipment advise

Excellent! I am going to be pushing to replace these KM printers and will very much look into Ricoh. Heard a lot of good things so farm on the forum. We do a metric ton of saddle-stitched books on a Bourg-Watkiss. Hopefully we can get something similar attached to a Ricoh if it comes to that.
