    Xerox 2nd BTR

Most engineers I speak to, all admit the problem does exist, but there is 1 or 2 engineers who try to go down the route of saying to use Xerox paper  which is twice as much, but at the end of the day paper is paper and most all come from the same paper mills here in Europe and Far East.

    Xerox 2nd BTR

No, we were looking at a remanufactured 3100, apparently only done 3 million clicks which is low for this machine they say. It's just the 2nd BTR issue which kind of puts you off if it's the same issue on all the machines. Now I was looking at Richo, but I have been told their service for...

    Xerox 2nd BTR

Is anyone else in the UK struggling to obtain 2nd BTR for their Versant 280? I ordered one a week and half ago and still not turned up. It's marking like mad now and at a complete stop :( Also on a side note, is it just Xerox machines that are having this issue only? What about Canon, Richo...

Looking to purchase a Versant 3100

Does anyone on here own a Versant 3100? What are the pros and cons you experience with the machine?

    Versant 280 Registration

Yes I always clean constantly under the sensor, majority of the time it's pretty spotless anyway. I think if the machine could have some kind of side lay to knock up to instead of relying on a sensor to detect the sheet, it could improve registration accuracy. But I'm no engineer, I assume there...

    Versant 280 Registration

Oh right, we buy ours from Premier Paper in SRA3. We did use to use Giroform on our old C60 and that was fine. But the Versant 280 doesn't seem to like it. I did also try using Eurocalco Digital from EBB Paper, but again had issues with feeding it from the trays. The only issue I have with...

    Versant 280 Registration

Interesting, that is exactly the same issue I keep having. The way I know that it is happening, is because on the Fiery impose software, on the layup I placed a L shape registration mark so I can easily identify on the edge of the paper. The brand of NCR I use is called React Digital, here in...

    Versant 280 Registration

When you say the image size kept changing, do you mean as in registration or the whole artwork moving on the sheet? Its just that I've noticed that when I do NCR Carbon paper, I seem to see it keep moving from the edge of the paper.

    Versant 280 Polyester Issue

Here in the UK, I use a brand called Digituff 270micron = 365gsm. I don’t have any issues apart from registration it slightly skews off

    Versant 280 Registration

So, after using the printer now for 1 year, I will give you my honest feedback on the machine. Now there are some good and bad points with the machine, as suspected with anything. Prior to us having the Versant 280, we did have a Xerox C60, so it was quite a big upgrade for us as you can...

    Xerox Versant 280 consistent colour?

So I was running a small A5 postcard job on 350gsm silk, one side had a solid blue coverage with photo and text and the inside was plain white with just small text. I ran 200 sheets and noticed when cutting that the blue had changed colour about halfway through and then reverted back. Has...

    400gsm registration Xerox versant 280

Does anyone know how I can manage to successfully setup an alignment profile for 400gsm silk stock? Obviously the machine can only do simplex on this thick stock. I have tried doing single sided scanning and when I do it says 'completed with error'. It's mainly the skew I could do with...

    Lines on Versant 280

I've been printing some cards single sided, on 350gsm uncoated and I've noticed that either on the right edge or sometimes it moves in the middle more I seem to have like a sold line going down. Like as though some roller is something rubbing ? See photos below. Anyone know what this could be?

    Xerox Versant 280 Scratch Lines?

The plastic fingers do have a bit of a rough edge. I am thinking about putting some tape or something over them all to see if that improves it. That would be great if you can have a look at yours, be interesting to see. I think the designers at Xerox need to go back to the drawing board, before...

    Xerox Versant 280 Scratch Lines?

So here is an update. After having 2 engineers out last Friday to have a look, it turns out that the plastic baffles in the 2E section, when duplexing is causing these scratch lines, when its going around again to do the other side. So the engineer took away some of my paper, to test them on...

    Xerox Versant 280 Scratch Lines?

The paper is not causing these scratches. The rollers are being manufactured like this. I've had 3 rollers sent now and are all the same. UPM Digi Finesse Premium Silk in 150gsm, 250gsm and 350gsm Coral Digital Uncoated in 120gsm and 350gsm Eurocalco Digital NCR Carbon in 80gsm

I have cleaned the rollers, but these scratches and dents are actually embedded on the rollers.

    Xerox c60 - registration adjustment

We had a C60 and this was the ball ache we use to have especially with thicker stock, as 300gsm is the limit for this machine. Whatever job I use to print, I always had to keep changing and setup registration as near as possible. With you cutting down B1, depending on the paper grain direction...

    Xerox Versant 280 Scratch Lines?

While I am still waiting for a third new roller, I had a look around the small rollers on the engine itself. Looking at the 2b section area, these rollers look fine. Then there were 2 rollers on the 2d section that were in bad shape. Underneath I could see another 2 rollers which could also...

    Xerox Versant 280 Scratch Lines?

Hi TJ, so the engineer came out with another new roller, but this one was in very bad shape as well. Quite a few scratches and dents on it, makes me wonder if it's been used and just resent out? He has ordered another roller, just to see what condition this will come in. You know when you said...
