DC240 under Win7Pro: Can't Get to Preference Menus

We have CW running on the computer connected to the Fiery. Your solution might solve the problem or even be a better way of doing things, but I have a question. With CW on each computer, when you print something, do you print from the application in the normal way, be it MS Word or InDesign or...

DC240 under Win7Pro: Can't Get to Preference Menus

We have a DC240 with Fiery EXP250 connected to several computers running Windows XP. All is well. Now we have a new computer running Win7Pro. Downloaded Win7 x64 from Xerox website, but Win couldn't find any drivers. Called Xerox and tech said to use Vista x64 driver. Driver installed but when I...

Xerox DC240 Fiery Remote Scan Problem

There is a separate program among the Fiery programs called System Updates. I ran that and it found a boatload of updates. I didn't count but maybe 50 of them. Thanks for the clue.

Xerox DC240 Fiery Remote Scan Problem

Thanks, Bo3b. Your instructions were perfect. I can now scan. "There should be a network cable between the printer and the Fiery box - usually a cross-over cable. If this is not there you will not get scanning working." We set it up wrong. We had a network cable going from the priner to our...

Xerox DC240 Fiery Remote Scan Problem

I have a Xerox DC240 with EXP250 bought used a year ago. The Fiery has the following programs loaded: Colorwise Pro Tools, ver. 3.5.32 Command WorkStation 4, ver. 4.4.0.39 EFI Hot Folder, ver. 2.1.0.25 Fiery Remote Scan 5, ver. 5.3.1.9 Fiery VDP Resource Manager, ver. 1.2.013 To this point, I...

    How Do I Print 8.5x11 2-up on DC240?

Thanks to all, but this solved the problem quickest and easiest with one slight change. My version of CW says "booklet best fit" rather than "imposition reduction."

    How Do I Print 8.5x11 2-up on DC240?

We have a DC240 with Fiery EXP250. Usually when I want to print an 8.5x11 document 2-up on 11x17, I duplicate the text in InDesign CS5 and make an 11x17 document. I see options in the InDesign/Fiery print menu for "layout" that include 2-up, etc. so that presumably I could send the unduplicated...

DC240 Has Odor -- Is It Filling Up My Lungs with Toner?

The results of the snot test are negative. Since it happens more or less with all papers, I'm putting my money on the ozone filters -- which I haven't yet located or changed. I'll report back in a few.

DC240 Has Odor -- Is It Filling Up My Lungs with Toner?

When the DC240 we just got runs, the odor from the toner (I assume that's what it is) is very strong. With the DC12, we had no such odor, or if it was there, is was so slight I didn't notice it. Is this harmful? Every time I go near the DC240 while it is running I imagine my lungs filling up...

Upgrading from DC12 to DC 240

We have a DC12 on Xerox service which we intend to sell. We just bought a used DC240 with EXP250 Fiery and Pro finisher. The 240 was under Xerox service, but the seller switched to third-party service for the last year or so. The machine is in good condition. I want to put it back under Xerox...

    Docucolor 242-252-260. Right?

The Docucolor 260 is in the class of, and a faster version of, the 242 and the 252, not the 240 and 250. Is that right?

What is a Typical 242 Service Contract?

If I buy a 242 used and put it under Xerox service contract (assuming they accept it, of course), what copy allowance, click charge and monthly payment is typical?
