Downgrading it would seem is painful. If you have a time machine backup from prior to the upgrade, you can delete or rename the Acrobat folder, and then restore that folder to Applications. That works as all the settings and licensing are elsewhere in the libraries. It's best then to get rid of...

If your rips are over a decade old, did you ever look at the speed improvement if you upgraded? Seems you have to jump through hoops to get things to work, and this is only going to get worse as PDF 2.0 and PDF/X-6 come on stream. Maybe you can build an ROI for an upgrade?

BTW also just checked. The Ghent Workgroup preflight profiles (at least the 2015 ones) will flag this as an warning for overprinting white lineart.

What he said... For the future you can preflight for a spot color called 'None' and although it's not in the output preview it will be flagged as an error. It's mixed as Zero% CMYK At least in PitStop, but I guess in others as well.
