    Any experience Ricoh C5300s or C5210 ... Canon V900 ... KM C3070

don't know about the other machines but if i'm not mistaken the C5300/10 will only print banner sheets of that length out of the bypass tray with the banner sheet extension fitted. the bypass tray capacity is quite limited. maybe look at whether the rival machines are any better in that regard.

blue print problems on my brother (home) inkjet

Folks, my home inkjet (Brother J6530DW) is having some issues. Cyan has missing dots on the test page, and now a long streak on the trailing edge. See attached scan. Cyan was ok if using maximum print density, but the test pages never came out complete, & anything printed using normal density...

    what is a PostScript 3 Unit Type M42 to a Ricoh C5300s?

the C5300/10 has an in-built Ricoh controller which can be used as a regular printer driver alongside the Fiery ( at least it can with our external fiery ). I don't know if that is going to give you enough scope to handle colour management issues, calibration, paper profiles etc though.

small shop, refurb or will a new C5300s be adequate?

double check the limitations of the in-built fiery. i have the c5310 with external fiery. i can't recall all of the limitations of the basic fiery except it wouldn't allow for e.g. tab printing which is essential for us. you want to be sure it's not lacking any essential features which you...

moved on from refurbs; Ricoh C5300 or KM C4065 repayments, cpc similar

If you're thinking of going refurb i would have thought the main benefit of that would be if it means your commitment is shorter due to the lower purchase cost of the machine. e.g. if the machine is only worth 10k rather than 50k new, if that means you can get a short lease agreement of say...

this is interesting. are there any other beta programs or 'cookbook' type sites for other aspects of CWS - particuarly Jobmaster?

Ricoh vs Cannon vs Xerox Quality...

do you might me asking what you mean by 'screens' in the context of digital printing. i tried googling it but i only found reference to physical screen printing e.g. onto garments. i'm a complete noob when it comes to the more graphic side of production printing - I mostly use our machines for...

    Upgrading to a Canon V700

you also have no idea about whether you are getting value for money if you don't compare and negotiate based on competing offers. your current supplier knows what your current deal is. so they have little incentive to offer you a sharper deal unless you push them - you have to keep them honest...

    Upgrading to a Canon V700

so you had a machine which you weren't happy with, and you weren't satisfied with the level of service where they were leaving multiple problems open and unresolved, but you think you are on good terms with Canon? you might want to rethink that and get competing offers from the other major...

Any way to know what clicks we did last month?

Chat GPT suggested creating a python script to log in and download the logs automatically, but i haven't really got the time to try that out tbh.

Any way to know what clicks we did last month?

I really want to find a way to automatically download the printer clicks off the machines every month but haven't figured out automating that yet. i always forget to do it each month and then i have a hard time reconciling the click invoices with the printing totals.

Remove empty text outside of page on all pages in a PDF?

I've been sent a 1000 page PDF. at the bottom of each page are two blank text boxes (i know they're not actually boxes, but you catch my drift). What is the obvious way of automatically deleting them all in Acrobat Pro? I tried redact across all pages but i received an error. I tried cropping...

fold-away tables for large finishing jobs?

thanks for the feedback, folks, some good ideas here. Like the sound of the rotating table :) like a less interesting lazy susan.

fold-away tables for large finishing jobs?

we don't have much space here but we have a very long corridor outside which we can temporarily occupy for large print runs. which got me thinking, I should get some long tables which can be folded away when not in use, for when we have to produce large runs of documents. A wall-paper table...

Skilled Operator Menu Ricoh 7110 Fuser Cleaning Unit

you're confusing the password of the fiery controller with that of the onboard engine menu (probably not the correct terminology) by default the password is probably blank with admin as the username.

    Need equipment advise

I used to have KM C754E's with Fiery so very similar machine and upgraded to Ricoh C5310s so we're in a similar position but in reverse. I've not had too many problems with the Ricohs, although our volumes are lower than yours. By far and away the most important factors are testing the...

problems with fiery drivers after moving to Windows 11

I posted a query over there before coming here. But their site does say: "...All other current versions of Fiery products and drivers are compatible with Windows 11" https://communities.efi.com/s/question/0D55w00008q1LjiCAE/windows-11-compatibility-status?language=en_US

have recently updated to Windows 11. now when using fiery driver within an application (acrobat, word etc), if i open the job properties, then when i click print, it locks up. have tried the printer removal tool and reinstalled using latest versions. tried both enable/disable "update driver...

log counter readings end of each month? Ricoh Pro c5310

Bump - just wondering if anyone is aware of perhaps a software application that would take automatic meter readings from two printers, and then either back this up somewhere, or I could schedule a process to run a report or something..
