I've been told that it's not supported by Kodak and that we are having issues with JDF's, something about missing marks, etc.. If you remember, was it easy to integrate or you had to overcome some troubles?

No experience yet but we are looking at same option. Heidelberg supports it for sure but they have their requirements for virtual system, ask Heidelberg tech to get you sys requirement sheet for virtualization.

Do you have optional Adobe PDF Print engine? If you did not pay for it, you are using Jaws library which back converts everything to PostScript, so it might be doing bad conversion.

I think they outsourced it to China somewhere. Kodak laid off most of their development team and spread software all over the world, Israel, China, India, etc..

We use varnish tool from Heidelberg workflow, or in special cases do it manually. We never had to apply 1 mm trap, registration has been bang on every time.

I guess cheap way would be to not upgrade your Adobe to CS6. More expensive but better, in my opinion, way is to upgrade your workflow and Mac so all the tools you are using are up to date, not just one. I am running iMac with Lion, Prinect Cockpit 2011 and Adobe CS6, everything works just fine.

When we bought it, it came in as standard installation, no additional activations or licenses.
