    Quadient / Neopost Support

I would spend the time going up the chain at corporate Quadient / Neopost to find someone that can help get it under service for you. Going the attorney route could just end up taking more money out of your pocket. Hello, there are almost 30 states that have or are in the process of writing...

    Quadient / Neopost Support

A good right to repair law would fix this bs. I think I would dump the Quadient and move on.

    Duplo DC 618 cutting issue

5mm is a lot for this machine to be off. I would suspect that the template is not correct. Try creating a template within the Duplo software and save it as a pdf. You'll have a template with cyan outlines for all your cards. Upload the new template to the Duplo then print the template on the...

A3 office copiers that don't slow down at 120 gsm

Even the older Xerox Primelink C9070 will not slow down to half speed for stocks over 100gsm. Take a look at this chart. Personally I would have no issue running a 120gsm uncoated stock as 100gsm if the 10 pages per minute on the A3 was a big deal. Fusing is the issue, and at worst it will show...

Ricoh c7500 after 8 years of using a xerox versant 2100

You may want to start a new topic for this but… I always ask the manufacturer to provide samples of several different files that I have. Coated, uncoated, text, cover, heavy coverage, fine lines, small text are all different files that I have samples printed for. The reason I don’t ask local...

A3 office copiers that don't slow down at 120 gsm

Not sure what speeds you're looking for, but the Xerox Primelink C9265, C9275, and C9281 will all run at rated speeds up to 128gsm on uncoated stocks for A3.

DUPLO 618 Creaser Spring damaged - creasing only halfway

Down towards the end of the page you'll see the part number $13.43 - Duplo Spring.

DUPLO 618 Creaser Spring damaged - creasing only halfway

I wouldn't use the creaser function until you remove and either straighten the spring or replace it. There are pins on both ends on the bottom of the male creaser that need to line up with the center of the spring when the male creaser is inserted into the creasing section. If the pin does not...

    Xerox Versant envelope double feeding

I always use trays 6 & 7 and have found that some brands of envelopes don’t run as well as others. For years I ran Lindemeyer #10 diagonal envelopes with no issues, then out of blue I started to get bad wrinkles. I switched to digital side seam (same price) and the problem disappeared. Could be...

    Xerox Versant envelope double feeding

This is good to know. I was wondering if you had to use tray 5 because they wouldn't run in trays 6 or 7 either.

    Copy Job Cost and Pricing...

Earlier this week I had local printer call and wanted to vent about a real estate agent. It was a small mailing job, and he sent a quote that broke down the costs. Apparently, she thought the fees were all negotiable and wanted to know if she could use his permit and take the mail to the post...

    Duplo 616 questions before purchase

I received an email from Ultimate Print Finishing that they have a like new fully loaded DC-618 for sale. I don't know anything about this company and have never done business with them. Price seemed high, but I bought mine new about 3 years ago for under $30,000.

Pitney Bowes Relay 5000 folding issues

Could it be that the 5000 isn’t calculating the size of the sheet or the size of the envelope correctly and folding again to make it fit. What if you tried entering custom sizes instead of letting the 5000 determine sheet and envelope size.

DUPLO 618 ISSUE: Cutting 2 up 9x12 on 13x19 paper not straight cut

I haven’t experienced this problem on my 618. Maybe its toner related to how slick different toners can be. Guess I’d make sure the rollers are clean and that the press rollers and backup rollers are in good contact and that someone didn’t back off the hexagon socket to release the pressure. I...

    Duplo 616 questions before purchase

Completely agree. I have to assume that anyone that would bid on some of the higher ticket items have either made the trip to see the equipment working in person or they have a few screws missing. I would work with a dealer directly for an item like a 618 and not through any auction site...

    Quadient / Neopost Support

What a nightmare! I have a Pitney Bowes DI950 and I'm not a fan of these folder inserters. They have too many places where things can go wrong and they seem to have a limited life span. At least Pitney Bowes sells me parts to keep it running. I wish I could have found a nice swing arm inserter...

    Duplo 616 questions before purchase

I have seen several listed on Wirebids in the past. Just remember that on a higher ticket item like this, the items on the auctions are sold "as is". Even if the seller says they're in great condition they may or may not be. I have bought several pieces of equipment from this site and had no...

    Versant 280 paper creasing

Had similar issues running lighter stock. Fuser was replaced and issue was much better but wasn't completely resolved until the pressure roller under the fuser unit was replaced. No more wrinkles after those items replaced.

    Duplo 616 questions before purchase

I don't have any issues running 100lb gloss text or 60lb uncoated text on the 618. I have very few jams and other than removing one of the slitter units have never taken anything apart to remove a jam. I did have a lot of issues having to clean off the rollers but that was because of the the...

Is it just me? Am I unlucky?

Back in 2020 I had pricing on both the C5310s and C7200s. Both were quoted to be similarly equipped as the Versant 280. Versant 280 has the Fiery strapped on the back, 2 oversized high capacity trays and production ready finisher, nothing special. Over a 60 month lease the C5310s would have cost...
