Marks Lead Edge to Trail Edge

If you're not sure about the fuser belt or slip sheet you could pull the fuser and inspect it. When you put the belt back on reverse it to see if the marks transfer to the other side. Versant fuser rebuild.

"Proposed Ban on Carbon Black Raises Red Flags for New York State Printers"

The legislators would act quickly if the big guys that print all the election ballots let all the board of elections offices know that they will be printing all election ballots without the use of inks that contain carbon black. This would put everyone in a panic, quickly!

Konica Minolta and FujiFilm exploring a "strategic alliance"

This is interesting news. I thought it was odd that Eastern Managed Print Network (owned by Xerox) once sold and serviced KM machines alongside Xerox machines. Sure looks like Fuji has every intention of taking over what Xerox once was very profitable at. Once Fuji figures out the service end...

    Blade cleaning EBA 551

If the 551 is the same as my EBA 550, then try this. When your blade and clamp are returning to upper home position, push in the check valve knob. It should be right under your pressure regulator knob on the left side of cutter. The blade will stop returning to upper home position and the clamp...

    Xerox C60 White Line

Easiest would be to look at the magnetic roller on your developer unit. A area that shows a void would indicate a blockage someplace in that area in the developer unit. The other area to look at is your ROS window. If toner dust accumulates on the window it will cause a faded area down the...

More wavy paper problems to solve

There really isn’t any heat involved with your printing process now but as soon as you open a ream of paper it’s going to react to the changing environment. I don’t see much curl in what you’ve done so unless you can control your indoor humidity you may have to settle for letting the sheets sit...

    Print Problem Xerox 700

It’s been a while since I had a 700 but there were some issues with the developer housings and the replacement came from a different model and fixed the issue. Sorry I don’t remember more about this. To my knowledge, the fuser doesn’t have a belt, just rollers. I always had multiple fusers...

Marks Lead Edge to Trail Edge

Is this a typo, 65% humidity? It's not recommended that paper even be stored at humidity levels over 55%. In the summer I keep my humidity to under 50% and in the winter at around 40% and don't have any issues. I stay away from cool mist humidifiers and use only pad style evaporative humidifiers...

    New Imposition Software Needed

I could be mistaken, but I believe Montax offered to provide a fully functional trial when I was looking at it. Maybe contact them, they are very responsive.

    Canva acquires Affinity apps

This is interesting news, I just hope that Canva doesn't plan on putting a “Buy Printing Now” button into the software like they do on Canva. I have been receiving more pdf's created by Canva, so yes, Adobe could be falling behind Canva very soon.

    Is Antivirus Software Still Needed?

Don't forget to turn off your auto renew in your account settings for Norton. They hit your credit card more than 30 days prior to it expiring and renewal rates are a rip off.

The best inkjet under $1500 for sharp text printing?

A bit over your budget but you could have a look at the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2100. Up to 24” wide and has an auto cutter so you can use 17” wide rolls and auto cut at 22”. I believe that they just came out with some new printer models so you may find some better prices on the PRO-2100 and...

What printer for volume 10x15 printing?

This can be very subjective when it comes to reproducing images that may be called photo prints. The Apeos isn’t the same as the ApeosPro. The Pro version will allow you to use a Fiery RIP for better color control. I have not seem the output from the ApeosPro but it does look very interesting...

Swapping out year old KM7090 for Ricoh 7500

The problem is, how do you really know if you’re going to get good service. I’m lucky that I’ve always had good service on my Xerox machines, either from Xerox direct or the dealer that I have now. I just have to make sure I retire before my tech retires.

Xerox Versant 180 wrinkles in paper

Maybe I should start a binder and put these good tips in it for the future. I already had the Fuser unit and pressure roller replaced, that fixed my problem with wrinkles on lighter stock.

    Is Antivirus Software Still Needed?

Those Norton popups are almost as bad as having a virus. I do use Norton and I don’t get the popups at work because you can turn them off. Can’t remember how, I Googled it when they were annoying me at work so much. I use Defender on a laptop but honestly the only way to truly protect yourself...

Banding on Versant 80 - is this 2nd btr issue?

Now I see them, so it’s on all 4. I would be having problems on the back side of coated stock with the 2nd BTR that you have but I don’t think that’s the issue with those lines. There’s another set of rollers right before the 2nd BTR roller, it’s where the primary charge roller is. It must be...

Banding on Versant 80 - is this 2nd btr issue?

Is the banding on all colors or just the black? I can see it on the black but not the others. Curious if you have the flywheel weight installed on the 80. Some of the early Versant 80s didn’t have the flywheel and it was a field upgrade and some techs take it off and leave it off, but it was...

    Print Science?

Does anyone have any experience with this web to print system. It's reasonably priced and has some features that I'm interested in. I know it's based on Wordpress and most likely Woocommerce and I'm sure I could get something setup on Woocommerce myself but I just don't have the time and I need...

    Identifying High Quality Print Companies

I would expect any "solvent stain" or any ink left over from cleaning the blankets to be gone after a dozen or so sheets and those sheets would have been pulled. So a "solvent stain" sounds odd. But in any case, 60% of a job with a significant defect would warrant a reprint.
