Hi Guys,
I recently buy new Duplo 618 for help me cutting 24up business card.
I setting template on fiery impose then sending it to duple.
Infortunatly, the cutting is not straight.
The first cut is correct, but it shifts as the sheet advances and we end up with the last cut offset by 5mm.

When they sell me machine. they say the CCD scanner can also read the registration marks on every sheet to compensate for any shrinkage and image shift. But this don't work.

Any one know this issue?
Thanks

Try slowing the speed down, helps it be more accurate. And triple check your template, its possible that it's 5mm off and the Duplo is actually cutting correctly...or that your printer is printing skewed/shifted.
Finally, the CCD scanner doesn't read registration marks per se, it looks for a special square (included in most of the templates) and uses the position of that square to account for image shift. I never really utilize that feature though.

5mm is a lot for this machine to be off. I would suspect that the template is not correct. Try creating a template within the Duplo software and save it as a pdf. You'll have a template with cyan outlines for all your cards. Upload the new template to the Duplo then print the template on the stock that you have been using for your business cards. Run it through the Duplo and see how close it cuts to the outlines. If the last card is off, it shouldn't be by too much and that can be fixed by adjusting the shrinkage on the Duplo. I always use the software to do this but it can be done from the console too.

The CCD scanner will not read registration marks, it only reads one registration mark that is placed in the upper right corner of the sheet. It will not automatically adjust for shrinkage, this is done manually. The registration mark tells the machine where to start cutting and if the slitters should be shifted from one side or the other. It's actually a very precise machine when using the registration mark and CCD.

I can't help with any issue of Fiery Impose because I don't use it. I always impose with Quite Imposing and send jobs imposed and ready to print.
