Xerox DC12 server SLOOOOOW!!?? Help Please!

What kind of RIP have your DC's? I've used to change a CPU and added some RAM at X12e some time ago. It made jobs processing faster, but there were some limitations on RAM amount you can install as well as maximum CPU clock speed. I also had to work with a G640 Splash. This one could be...

    Lay offs at Hiedelberg

We have telePresence here at our R510 and the remote support at MANRoland really helps us out at about 95% of brakedowns. I would give them 5 stars of 5 in service. On SM 74 we have modem connection to service. Never had any case it helped us. Only serviceman at our site every time.

    Help on AD-310PM needed

We have AD-310PM RIP here so far it was ok, but since we've upgraded our Adobe and Quark stuff we are unable to rip ps from this programs on AD-310. I know it's rather old rip, but is there any software upgrade or ver.2.0.1p we have is the latest one? Is it possible to use PIF card we have with...

    TH2 for Magnus 400Q

PACH, we tried to make some kind of dialogue with our Kodak supplier. The bad thing is we have the one and only Kodak supplier in or region and they know we can't get any support from someone else, so their service contract for TH2 only (not the whole CTP!) obliges us to use only TD plates (not...

    TH2 for Magnus 400Q

We do know that there is a factor of "luck" in TH2 life length, but it is not a "today" product and there should be some kind of statistics. The problem is our supplier is the only supplier in our region and it seems that the price for the contract could be compared with buying a new TH2 in a...

    TH2 for Magnus 400Q

We are thinking now on signing service contract on our Magnus, but lack of info won't let us make right decision. Is there any information on estimated life of TH2 in "work hours"? How much is the new one? What is the standard warranty on this head? Any info will be helpful.

Thank you very much, Tony! Now we have good support from local Fuji supplier! Wonder why they were away from the problem so long before :)

    Processless plates and dot gain.

Dan, 24% dot gain measured at 50% on R500. On SM we have 70% field in the control strip, we have less gain than 24% but it is greater than it should be. And let me remind that it comes into normal values after several thousands.

    Processless plates and dot gain.

First of all we won't switch to Azura + Processor because we do not have room for it and do not have person to clean the processor. Now I'll take time out to make some tests to have some more statistics. We do know about calibration curves (Harmony) for CTP, but seems it is not an issue...

    Processless plates and dot gain.

Derek@Kodak, I do know that the settings of imaging unit differs much for this two kind of plates. We do expose and store plates within the "yellow light room", never store them exposed longer than one day, never use processor or any other wash-out unit. We just take them to the press, mount...

    Processless plates and dot gain.

It is quite reasonable that the problem is in cleaning and the first thing to start with is to check the fountain solution, but we didn't meet any help from the reps of the suppliers, so we'd like to solve the problem ourselves. We have some tools to check pH, conductivity and so on, but we need...

    Processless plates and dot gain.

Greetings! We are using Magnus 400Q with Fuji Pro-T and Kodak ThermalDirect plates. After on-press development on MAN Roland 510 or on SM 74 we are having dot gain about 24% on every ink. After 1000-2000 prints made dot gain drops down to 17-18% and stands still for about 50 000 sheets. We are...

    Magnus Platesetter

Yes, we have same problem with missregistration and it really a big problem now for our pressmanager, because we've just bought 5/5. I've asked my local supplier about this problem - his advice was to "line up a pile of plates in MCU more carefully", so I'd like to find out the part number for...

    Magnus Platesetter
