Agreed. We just bought another PM, without a mechanical counter. Trying to figure out its total impressions.

Hello all, Can anyone clarify for me the readout for total impressions ? SF 45 gives me 18.2 on top and 67.241 on the bottom. The mechanical counter says 25,489,994... Confused...:confused:

I have often wondered this same thing. I start all 4 colors at once. I think it reduces waste and startup time, as you mentioned. Im curious to see other opinions as well.

I have never run Crestlines, but what does the image on the blanket look like ? Is there a buildup of paper fibers, or anything ? Your form rollers may be picking up the stuff that has transfered from the blanket to the plate. just a thought, B

Turning drums is probably an outdated term. I guess nowadays transfer cylinders is a better one. When the sheet passes between the transfer cylinder and the impression cylinder, the 2 are so close together the rule slits the sheet. I am using a .029" rule. Since the 2 are so close, it does...

All, I tried to score a job using Litho perf on our GTO52-4-p3 only to find that the turning drums are too close to the impression cylinders. The sheet ends up slit instead of scored. I am wondering if I change the perfecting jacket on the turning drum to a standard jacket, will i be able to...

I had a similar situation with a 272 EII. Sakurai had no answer except to start replacing boards. Is it hot in your shop when it shuts down ? We had some success pointing a fan into the control box. Other than that. try resetting any connectors to the boards in the control box.

Do you squeeze the tops of the envelopes before putting them in the feeder ? It may help to crease the flap fold so they lay flatter. jmtc...
