Xerox 1000i - Diagnostics not loading properly due to press serial number being "Not Available"

Hi Milo, I actually got your number from Mike Smith last year who you visit every now and then to help fix up his presses here in Orange county. We managed to figure out the problem and got it all fixed up with the help of Adriansto. I do have your info saved and hope I'll never have to call...

Xerox 1000i - Diagnostics not loading properly due to press serial number being "Not Available"

On our press, when we try to enter Diagnostics, it shows an error saying Diagnostics We'll run an integrated mode because the serial number of the press doesn't match a serial number of the diagnostics license. I know it used to work but in recent months, I've been using a Xerox technician...

Polar 66 keeps showing Hydraulic System Overheated (993)

    ### SOLUTION ### We were able to solve the problem. So for anyone facing the same issue, our problem turned out to be the K1 relay on the SAP66 board. He replaced the AXICOM 24VDC relay on the board and it's been working perfectly since then. Here is a photo of what the relay looked like.

Any Xerox 1000i or Polar technicians in Southern California

Ahhh yes, thanks for the tip! I've purchased some equipment from them in the past when I was in Yorba Linda but since I moved out to Irvine, I haven't gone there in a while. I forgot all about them :) I'll give them a call Monday. Thank you good sir!

Any Xerox 1000i or Polar technicians in Southern California

Our press doesn't have a service contract so we've been doing all of our maintenance and repairs ourselves. There are some things we need help with and I've been unable to find a tech in the area who can work on this machine. We are located in Irvine, CA. Also, same goes for our Polar 66...

Polar 66 keeps showing Hydraulic System Overheated (993)

It still functions fine after clearing the error. The strange thing is that this sometimes shows immediately on the very first cut after powering it up on a cold morning so I don't suspect it's actually overheating. Any ideas what could be triggering this error?

(Me again!) Xerox 1000i - Any ideas how to prevent tabs on wristbands from sometimes getting damaged from tray rollers (which is causing jams)?

Interesting! I've been running on the bottom tray. I'll try the top tray. And I've had the fuser temp turned up a bit for better image quality but perhaps that is contributing as well. I'll try these things and see if they help. Thanks!

(Me again!) Xerox 1000i - Any ideas how to prevent tabs on wristbands from sometimes getting damaged from tray rollers (which is causing jams)?

Title says it all. Printing Blanks laser wristbands and there are tabs on the back for the wristbands to put them on by the customer. The printer has been jamming a lot in the fuser with these wristbands recently. They keep jamming in the fuser and I noticed that the tab on the same exact...

Xerox 1000i - All prints have a light layer of magenta over the entire page

    ### PROBLEM SOLVED ### For anyone searching for this in the future, it turned out there was nothing physically wrong with the drum, developer, corotron, or developer housing. I had pulled out the ITB tray and took a look at the drums and I noticed that there was a clear build up of yellow toner...

Xerox 1000i - All prints have a light layer of magenta over the entire page

It's actually printing mostly towards the inboard side with a smooth gradient. The outboard side is not as bad as the inboard side, which has a strong magenta tint on the entire sheet. It just started happening out of nowhere. My first thought is faulty drum. Does this seem to be the most...
