Versant 280 Splotchy/Mottled Color on Heavy Stock

I wanted to follow up on this thread. After a week or so of not using the printer upon returning to printing the issue was gone. I believe the splotchy color was happening due to static electricity perhaps caused by quick fluctuations of hot and cold in the workplace. We were experiencing...

Versant 280 Splotchy/Mottled Color on Heavy Stock

I'll give that a try first thing next week and let you know how it goes. We've used this paper a lot before but something might have changed after the recent maintenance. Thanks.

Versant 280 Splotchy/Mottled Color on Heavy Stock

We've just replaced the 2nd BTR and coated stock at 271 GSM prints just fine but when I try and run heavier 300+ coated cover I'm getting splotchy uneven areas of color. I've checked drum carts, calibrated the color density etc. At this point I'm thinking this may have to do with humidity but...

trimmer on V80/180 jamming often due to small paper trimmings

I've noticed as the inside temperature here gets stabilized as the day goes on the problem goes away. When we're warming up the building in the morning the static becomes an issue.

trimmer on V80/180 jamming often due to small paper trimmings

Ahhh, thought static might be the issue. Having this same issue with our Versant now. Just gonna have to babysit it for now as raising the humidity in here would be no easy feat, big building. It might get 3 books through the trimmer or 20, we never know and now I know why. The quick changes in...

Thanks for the help. I found an way way to access the files by simply dropping the Fiery server IP address in a browser window to access the scans folder.

    Scanning on Versant 280

Thanks, I'll try accessing the Remote Scan app on the PC the Fiery server is located on. I didn't see a Remote Scan app when I looked but I may have overlooked it. I'm pretty sure, for now, that the Remote Scan app isn't compatible with the new Mac I'm on.

    Scanning on Versant 280

Feeling a little dense this morning. I've been using this Xerox Versant 280 with Fiery Command Workstation for the last 5 months and am well versed at preparing documents for output but I'll be darned if I can access the files created by the built in scanner. I don't think this scanner is very...

Anyone else using an Epson SureColor T3270 with an M1 Mac?

We're still able to use the printer so production is fine I'm just curious why this new Mac is having issues and if it's a known problem. I guess I'm not surprised there's no information available. I do know that when the M1 chips first arrived ALL Epson printers had issues so I'm guessing it's...

Anyone else using an Epson SureColor T3270 with an M1 Mac?

I'm having issues gettin my M1 chip Mac (running Ventura) to talk to our Epson SureColor T3270. It sees the printer but when I send the test file I keep getting a command error on the printer's dialog window. I'm wondering if anyone else here is aware of know issues with the new Mac hardware...

    Vector Images in Illustrator

Vector images can bog down a system when they have too many points in the paths. Often users will vectorize complex images in Illustrator using tools like Live Trace, this can result in messy path work with too many points. The only way to reduce the processing time for these images is to clean...
