We have a 9210 & a 7210 that will not hold bak up on either machine. The 9210 is only a little over 2 years old and I am not sure how old the 7210 is.
We run the auto registration, manual registration and the back up is all over the place. Paper has been checked and that isn't this issue???

We have been down for 4 days now and the Tech cannot resolves the back up issues on both machines. He has replaced the Tim-Mag in the 9210 and spent numerous hours trying to fix the problem and he is stumped.
Has anyone had this issue, any feed back would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is your problem..... We have the 7210, and when the backup is off by a decent amount, it is usually caused by a buildup on some of the rollers from imprinting offset sheets.

I clean the scanner part on the 7210 before running auto reg. Sometimes I’ve seen anomalies that can be resolved with deleting and creating a new paper profile. You can also try printing halftone floods and see if there is anything might be dragging on one side or the other.

Mine holds register, but do need to shift initial back up

Same problems in the past on our machine.
Registration area.
There are several components that wear and get dirty - requires rebuild and or replace.
This usually worked for a while.
The tech SHOULD know how to fix this issue - call for Senior tech.
YMMV.
