AB Dick 9805 "What Do This Do"?

This contraption is on the non operator side of the AB Dick 9805 I just picked up, it's on the feed end of the press. "What Does This Do"?

Sorry for the bad grammar in the title. I meant to say "What Does This Do".

It looks like this isn't really a 9805. It was probably a part of an automated system with automatic load/unload and blanket washers. They automated systems fell out of use when high volume copiers came to be. Someone split the units out and turned them into 9800's. The other clue is the solenoids in the picture.

Mystery solved thank you guys, now the next question I have, will a itek 975 t-head work on a 9805? with the ab dick hardware?

No. The side frames and gearing would be different.

It is for an automatic blanket washer which you don't seem to have all the parts.
