Acrobat Unexpectedly Quits

I am running Acrobat Professional 8.1.2 on my Intel iMac system 10.5.3, it opens and runs ok but when I close Acrobat down I get the message that "Acrobat has unexpectedly quit". I have tried trashing the app and reloading but it's still the same. Any ideas please.

10.5.3 is experiencing problems with the Adobe Apps. Mostly crashes or inability to save out of InDesign, but I'm also having problems with Acrobat.
