Why are we even giving any time to XRite/Pantone? Obviously an evil company that wants to see hundreds of thousands of designers and producers lose valuable productivity time, and render them utterly confused and basically abandoned in the spot color communication space.

It's actually quite easy to get the pantone files. Just as easy as getting access to Creative Cloud for free.That is how I really feel. In fact, I'm probably not using strong enough language. The "people" that lead Pantone are not people. They could solve this problem many different ways, but they chose the most retarded and insulting implementation possible.
