This should resolve the font issues that occurred after the most recent Snow Leopard update.
Running the standard 'Software Update' should install it if not go the the Apple web site and search for the
SnowLeopardFontUpdate.dmg released on the April 27, 2011.
The bug in Mac OS X 10.6.7 affects the use of PostScript OpenType fonts.
It should not affect InDesign as badly as other applications which use the Mac OS X font mechanism.
The fix addresses four primary problems:
An issue in which some OpenType fonts don’t display correctly in certain applications
Printing problems in Preview
PDF files not opening in third-party PDF viewing applications
Invalid font errors when printing to PostScript printers
Cheers
