Aqueous coating smashes

Any ideas on the best way to check for coating smashes on a printed sheet. I have heard everything from adding flourescent to coating and putting under a black light, to staining with food coloring. Any other options? Thanks

grunter,

You are right on target with adding flourescents. This is expensive however. Maybe try the new coating plate from Heidelberg USA. The new plate is smoother than a blanket, resist smashes better than a blanket and in most cases gives better gloss.
