Highcon recently invited students at the Georgia based–Savannah College of Art and Design to take part in a 3D Paper Product Design Challenge.

The aim of the challenge was to produce the most innovative, feasible, and applicable product that they could, in a way that would clearly demonstrate the benefits of automated digital cutting and creasing technology of the Highcon Euclid. Some interesting designs are shown here: http://www.highcon.net/news_detail.asp?id=153&menu=12

Very Cool! I remember with package design was done by hand, cut out with a knife and glued together.... come a long since the early 70s

Indeed. But, back in the 70's we also had typesetters setting type and strippers working to make up a page. Today, this is done by a computer with some human guidance.
