This year’s Labelexpo Americas—label & packaging event—includes an Automation Arena. This Arena will showcase 2 automated press lines for conventional shrink sleeve and digital label production, covering job creation, pre-press, printing, finishing and invoicing.

There will be three 30-minute demonstrations daily, providing an opportunity for attendees to experience first-hand, the future of label & package printing, and provide a venue to connect with companies at the forefront of technology.

Interesting. Nothing about sustainable packaging nor plastics and the environment, etc.

Actually, one of the main feature areas at the show focuses entirely on sustainability, free for all attendees. The TLMI Ecovillage located in Hall A will showcase the latest products & services designed to support a more environmentally conscious label and packaging industry. There will be live baler demonstrations each morning using the collected waste material from the show floor that'll be turned into fuel pellets by Convergen Energy & Channeled Resources Group (10am).

There will also be 3 dedicated speaker sessions held here, at 1pm on the first two days of the show and on the 3rd day Avery Dennison has organized a special Recyclers Panel at 11am.

Wednesday, Sept 26th @ 1pm - SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

Sustainable materials management (SMM) is a systemic approach to using and reusing materials more productively over their entire life cycles. It represents a change in how our society thinks about the use of natural resources and environmental protection. By looking at a product's entire life cycle, we can find new opportunities to reduce environmental impacts, conserve resources and reduce costs.

Thanks for the update and correction. Hopefully there will be information of substance presented. I also hope that brand owners will be involved in the discussions since that’s where the problem starts.
