Automating Print Jobs Using CSV Files to Specify File, Quantity, and Workflow Settings in Fiery Command WorkStation

Hello,

We print many different greeting card designs and each one requires printing in different quantities with specific workflow settings (e.g., imposition templates, color settings, paper handling). The current manual process of specifying the quantity and selecting the appropriate workflow for each file is too time-consuming, especially given the large number of files we work with.

We are looking for a way to automate this process by using a CSV file to specify the following details for each print job:

  • File Name: The path or name of the file to be printed.
  • Number of Copies: The quantity of copies required for each file.
  • Workflow Name: The predefined workflow (e.g., imposition, color management, paper tray selection) to be applied to each file.

Our Fiery system is FS200 PRO (VP3100).

Our goal is to upload a CSV file, and have Fiery Command WorkStation automatically rip the file whilst apply the correct workflow settings, and print the required number of copies for each file.

Has anyone implemented a similar solution using CSV files for batch processing and printing? If so, could you please share how this can be done or point us to any resources that could help us achieve this automation?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
