hello,

been trawling as we are considering upgrading our km6500, primarily because rego (altho first we are trying 6500 paper adjustment procedure). i seem to remember c651/c751 (ricoh) can print 13" x 25" & km can print 900mm. More info (or links) regarding max paper size & max image size for j75, km6501, km6000, ricoh c651& c751 + canon/oce equivalent would be very helpful & much appreciated

cheers

hi,
we have have the usual criteria, tight floor space (ie only 1 machine) quality prints, prefer duplex 300gsm (min duplex 256gsm), tight back2front rego, speed not critical (only 20k pm - mostly 170gsm gloss & 300gsm gloss).

we have km6500 (with only 1.2m), it's mostly ok, but we job out about 5 jobs x 200 s/s prints of 900mm x320mm prints pm. We want to bring this inhouse. afaik the new ricoh 5100/5110 can print 1260mm, km6000/7000 can print 900mm, but both the new ricoh & km dont hold tight rego easily (for business cards/dl flyers etc).

I would greatly appreciate advice regarding banner print capabilities (if any) on canon 6000 (no 6010 in .au), 7010, ricoh c751, c901 (maybe too $$s), xerox c75 please.

have considered & ruled out oki 9800 etc

appreciate all advice

regards
adrianjt

You are right the 5100 max is also 1260mm but you are right the registration isn't going to be as good as a c751 or c901 but those don't do 1260mm. The c5100 does do a front to rear frame paper shift for the second side so I would expect the front and rear to line up good but I haven't put it to the test yet.

The c751 would have better registration but the max lenght is 630mm.

hi, there are new canon imagepress c6011/c7011 would anyone know if they can print banners? also xerox c75 or j75, can these print banners? thanks !

I am the Xerox product mkt mgr for C75 and J75. Sorry no banner prints, largest sheet is 13 x 19, 300 gsm, auto duplex coated and uncoated.

Question for the people with banner printing, what is the 'click charge' on a banner, and does it run well (jam / density uniformity)?
Thanks,
Brian

msaeger - we're trying to print 25" long sheets on our Ricoh 5100 via the bypass but we're unable to key in any length longer than 19.2" (this is on the print engine itself, not the RIP). Is there something special I need to do so it will accept a longer size?

Call the tech and tell them to enable it or tell you how over the phone anyway. There are a couple settings in service mode they need to change.
