Anyone using barcodes on their printed material ensure the integrity of the page/form sequence during booklet making?
Just delving into a new Duplo model that has a barcode reader, and wondering if this a practical function to explore?

From the little I've seen on this, it looks quite promising.

Our shop would probably not implement it until it's a mature product, which would be several years down the road.

But if you're having trouble in keeping sigs in the right places, this might be your solution. After all, one long run with a "Well, I THOUGHT that was the right sig" could pay for something like this.

We print photo packages and deliver in booklet format. All of our pages are barcoded for subject and sheet sequence and run through a Duplo 2200. Works like a charm.

So exactly how does that work? Do you print the barcode on the edge of the sheet where it gets trimmed? We also have a Duplo 2200 but have not really taken the time to check out the barcode option. So far have not had any issues with running out of sequence.
