Baumfolder 714 ultrafold Folding corners on half folds

Please help. Or Baumfolder 714 ultrafold has started folding the corner at one end of the fold line on half folds. Any ideas what can cause this? Thank you all.

It could be a few things but some possible culprits:
1) Deflector blade is dinged, bent or slightly out of adjustment, or perhaps it's not seated correctly. Deflectors are the most likely culprit when bent corners start to appear.
2) Fold rollers may be worn or could have an ink/coating/varnish/dirt buildup. A good cleaning with Baum's roller wash can't hurt.
3) It could be time for a rebuild. There are bearings, bushings and spacers which wear over time. Baum has an inexpensive 714 rebuild kit and you can probably do the work yourself if you have reasonable mechanical aptitude.
Hope that helps!

The issue of dog ears or corners on half folds can be caused by a nicked or dinged deflector on the fold plate that is not folding. To test this, if you are using the #1 fold plate for folding and have the P2 fold plate set to deflect, simply switch how you are producing the fold. Set the P1 top plate to deflect and switch the P2 plate to open folding position. See if this helps
