It's a good machine but not quite a Ricoh c9200 or Xerox Iridesse that are the gold standard. As for the garbage statement, many Ricoh, KM and Canon (especially the Océ) users would disagree.

They are right on here. Stay away from the Canon. Anyone who bought an 8000/1000 should have learned their lesson by now.

The Versant model line isn't nearly as reliable as the Ricohs. We would see Xerox service a couple times a month, where with the Ricoh we see service every couple months and that is just to rebuild our components we have replaced.
