We have an X-rite ccDot, that we have gotten a lot of use out of, but now it is acting up (battery won't hold a charge and if I take four (4) reading of a swatch on the plate I will get four different results). I read a 25% swatch on a "Linear" plate and got readings of 25%, 30%, 25.5% and 33%. I don't remember how long it has been since we had it re-certified, but it has been 5+ years.

We hate throwing out a device that cost more than $3,000, but X-rite doesn't support or service these any more.

Does anyone know of someone who can service these?

Thanks

Unless you get a better answer try contacting Greg Imhoff - he was the original distributor of the ccDot so he might be able to point you in the right direction. The only contact info I have for him is at Linkedin.com here: http://tinyurl.com/3skow2m

best, gordo

Hi, It may be possible to install a new battery or get a part-exchange on a new Centurfax microDot/dotmeter

worth giving [email protected] an email and explaining your needs
