Challenge Cutter 305 CRT

Have a Challenge 305 CRT in which the Clamp Cylinder Casting Leg Broke.

Has anyone had this happen to them and machined a new part to patch it up.

It can not be welded as it cast Iron.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can weld cast iron. Talk to a welder in your area. They may not all do it but i know my grandpa used to weld cast.

Thanks for your reply, is just that with the pounding that this takes is not recommended. I am hoping that someone that has gone thru this made a part and can share some photos or drawing so that I can have a local machine shop make one.
