"classic" thermal plate on Presstek Dimension

Does anyone tryed to run any "ordinary" thermal plate on Presstek Dimension CTP instead of Presstek's or Azura plate?
If yes, what were the issues?

we tried ordinary thermal plates on Presstek Dimension 800 CTP. But we did not expected results. Some Laser Zones are very dark on plate. And these areas do not disapear in develop. Although we fine tunning to laser powers then laser zones very unsatble.
