CMYK Values differ from Acrobat 7 to 8

I have a pdf with a cmyk build. When measuring the values, I get a different reading if measured in Acrobat 7 and Acrobat 8. Any idea why tis is happening?

Is your "Simulation Profile" the same in both versions.

Actually it is .. that is what is puzzling.
Maybe I am missing something in the simulation settings.
Any ideas?

Is the object in CMYK?
Is it colour managed (Tagged with an ICC profile)?
Same colour settings in preferences?
Same CMM?
Same treatment of Blackpoint Compensation?

run through your prefs 1 at a time carefully

color space for both files

overprint preview

etc
