Anybody have any information on how to connect a CP2000 console to a network for ink key settings? I have a solution to get the settings to a job memory card and a database successfully, but cannot connect the CP2000 to the network to see the containing folder. Trying to avoid spending $$$$$$$ with Heidelberg for their $$$$$$$ solution.

Thanks!

Marc

You need the CP2000 to be able to receive the data. Right now do you have a card reader in the console? The alternative you are looking for is a P-net card, so you can connect to the net. I would call Heidelberg! You may spend some big $$$$ - but you are getting more than that with the ROI.

Yes, right now we are using the card reader, but was looking for a way to get the same information over the network, to avoid the card writing process. Thanks for the reply!

Marc, if your machine is fully CIP3 compliant you need an adapter to pass the data (Prinect PPF ?) via LAN. There are a number of independent companies who can help. Printflow.eu, xitron.com, digiinfo.com... to begin with.

Only you need to get the license for to receive PPF files on line via network from any supply in your the CP2000 Center depend which version you have it would be Preset Link or Instant Gate, call to Heidelberg.
