This CTP compare between all kinds of CTPs.The thermal one,the violet one,even CTCP~
But actually founder got great response in their violet area~
But now it turns to thermal market,they will sell the CTP vendor OEM buy Kodak

I trained on CRON products in China. The picture in my profile is from CRON factory. In the lower level, entering to the building, to your right hand side, there is an executive restaurant (sb_velagapudi probably had a Coffee or Chinese tea there). I took the picture there.

Sorry for the evidence part I don`t know how to express in English,some technical words don`t know the equal meaning in English.
But I can tell a lot of people have seen plate flying of CRON CTP in a big printing expo in china~

The Machine is simple, user friendly and reliable. Customers love the concept of
Plate Load/unload.The Laser is on the spindle instead of rail.The parts are inexpensive. The service is easy and mostly done by customers. Any 1 bit Tiff can work as a Rip with the machine. You just have to inform the manufacturer about your preferred Rip.

Chinese manual? Easier than you think.

As I know in china,most CTP user use postrip and PSPNT RIP or HQ RIPas a prepress workflow~~

I didn't say they use Cron RIP. Cron doesn't have a RIP of it's own,as far as I know. He was working with an Indian company on this. I though you have an updated news.

Where are you located? Are you concern about hardware or the software? Not many Chinese speak English, but the best person to contact is Jennifer at Cron. She is very nice lady with the right attitude. She can speak English. You can find her email here.

But a friendly words of advise, When you are planning to buy a CTP, make sure you have the right service and support. I do not recommend Cron, as they failed to provide such a services for their CTPs made from Mitsubishi parts and US Laser . A good used Thermal CTP like Screen, Agfa, Creo/ Kodak and Heidelberg is much better than Cron. For UV setter, basysprint is the one, specially the newer versions.

I thank you for all the information shared to us. You mentioned earlier in this thread that you were trained by CRON, technically. But how come you don't recommend such?

How do they conduct service? Whom are you referring too that they failed to provide such services, the CRON company itself or the local distributor?

Pleasure ! I still think Cron is a good CTP for the money can buy. Well, I have been trained on Cron and have a record at Cron China to back me up, but I had to leave the region and return to North America after 14 years. I have been in China 7 times and have many friends there. I do not criticize any distributors or dealers of Cron. I am just considering China and the feed back I have got from the buyers inside the country so far. If an OEM can't provide proper service in their own country, how would they'll be able to support distributors who rely on their support and Technology. I stay on what I have said about Cron.I believe the choice is yours. You will need Service, Parts and maintenance for every CTPs. In today's economy one will have to consider focusing on his business and not being worried about the machines, the investment and the clients!

That will be no problem. It's good to hear all your comments. From here, at least, there will be room for improvements reading all the write ups and comments.

CTP/ CtCp Technology require improvement. This applies to all brands. This is my personal opinion. Can you tell me as a user, which areas of Cron CtCp need improvement and what kinds of Technical problems are you dealing with?
