Duplo system 3500 miss stapling

I have a duplo system 3500 booklet maker and it's miss stapling booklets. What seems to happen is that it misses a staple altogether and then the next booklet has 2 mangled staples in the same place. It's only on the 1 stitch head that this is happening. I have re threaded the head just in case but it's no better.

Does any one have any suggestions please.

just thought I would update this, after fiddling all day with this I have it stapling all the time however as you can see from the picture some of the staples are only one leg in the book. The other leg is totally un formed.

Check the curl of your wire. I might not be sitting properly in the swivel unit. So its not bending into the U to be driven into the booklet.
