Dynamic Barcodes below 80%?

Hi,
Working with Ai CC 2015.2.1 (v19.2.1) with Dynamic Barcodes v16.0.2 (Build 207) and need to know how in the heck am I suppose to make the UPC-A smaller then 80% Magification to keep it dynamic?

Hello,

That is a tough one.

Here in the UK it is illegal to have goods on general sale with a barcode smaller that 80‰ so you need to be sure that you are not breaking local laws.

That said if Walmart (Asda in the UK) make a product only for their own stores then no one will ever prosecute them.

If you need to make the barcode shorter in height you can try masking the top of the barcode with some artwork (or an identical white barcode)

If you want to make it narrower then it might be time to look at using a font.
