Embedded ICC profiles

We have Prinergy set to ignore all embedded profiles.

My test was outputting the same page from InDesign with different profiles embedded.

I was expecting the two pages to be identical in color. But, they aren't. The embedded profiles seem to be overriding Prinergy.

What am I missing?

Indesign is honoring the embedded profiles and converting before the file even hits Prinergy.

Safest way to ensure no unwanted conversions happen is to set indesign color settings to emulate indesign 2 CMS off.

Being a commercial printer, our files often show up at the door with no conversation with the designer.
