PitStop 12 brings cloud-based access to thousands of fonts

According to our customers, missing fonts are the most common problem print professionals are having when working with PDF files. Until today, these PDF files needed to be sent back to the client to replace the missing font, or the font needed to be bought.

Enfocus and Monotype have teamed up to provide a 21st century solution for this ancient problem. In PitStop 12 you can easily embed missing fonts from the cloud via the Monotype Baseline Platform.

Two years ago, I took my Pitstop Server and pointed to a folder with 12,000 or so fonts. I then tell it to look there and embed.
It gets 95 percent if not more?
The only ones I regularly get burned are like Zapf Dingbats which will not allow a fully embedded version. I tell my customer to use Zapf PS and it works.
BTW, I have to have embedded fonts (not subsets) as I bring the PDF into GMC Inspire for multi version mailings.
