Exposing Polymer plates on Offset UV exposure unit

I want to make coating plates in house and was wandering if it is possible to expose polymer plates using our offset UV exposure unit and a film coming from an imagesetter.

I have included attachments of the machine we have.

I'm not familiar with the exposure unit but the only thing you'll be out by trying is the plate material.

I would do back exposure steps of 5 second increments then wash out the plate and see where you're at. What plate material is it?

Poly plates have to be kept in the dark until exposed. The plate material is more sensitive to light than metal plates. Once you take some out of the machine or cassette and lay it in your exposure unit, it's already done for.
