I'm hoping there is an easy way to do this.
I have a baseline workflow, that contains all possible carriers, cards, etc.
We have jobs that have different drop dates, so we are in different stages at different times. (processing data, creating docs, live setups, production)
I would like to have a workflow that 'uses' this baseline workflow, but is not a copy of it. Is that possible?
aaaaa.wfd would be in the aaaaa directory, and have all the cards, carriers, etc. A fully functional workflow, with input modules and multiple output modules.
I would like drop1.wfd to be in a drop1 directory, and refer back to aaaaa. And be able to use all the output modules, etc.
We have scripts that auto spool all the production files, and do that based on directory names, which give us locations for different data files and output locations.
I don't want to have to copy the workflow, since then, making a mod to a card, would then have to be made in multiple locations.
It seems to be hard to find specific help on the 'external workflow' module, so I haven't exactly determined how to set it up.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
