FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division has an immediate opening for the position of Field Service Engineer covering the United States and Canada.
The individual selected for this position will be responsible for:
• Installs, services, and provides ongoing support of solvent UV ink jet presses utilizing Colorplus products to ensure optimal installation and operation, so our customers receive the highest level of customer satisfaction possible
• This position will inspect and certify digital equipment that will be converted to Sericol solvent or UV inks on a pre-site survey basis
• The candidate will manage the wet ink swap out process to ensure the press is optimized for Sericol inks & ready for print profiling and ultimate hand over to the customer
• This position will provide on site and telephone engineering support to those customers who have converted to Sericol product to ensure that the press and ink combination continues to operate and function to the highest level.
• The candidate will be responsible for inspecting & identifying press malfunctions and issues that are of an engineering nature and implement effective solutions that minimize the customer’s machine downtime.
• This position will work closely with the aftermarket technical support, sales, and marketing teams to provide effective methods of leveraging Sericol’s ink technology through Wide and Grand format UV & solvent digital presses.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will have 1.5 years experience in field service support. Problem solving of complex electromechanical machines is preferred. An associate’s degree is preferred, but not essential. High School Diploma is required. The candidate should be a self starter who is comfortable with extensive travel. The candidate should have problem solving ability through logical applications and thought processes. The ability to communicate effectively both written and orally, from production operator to President level, is required. The job holder must be computer literate and skilled in the use of relevant software. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
