Does anyone has Fuji FinalProof GXT?
I have issue with spot color tint. Customer supplied file with flat 20% of PMS 3308, which is very dark green. On the proof we have taupe color. After investigation and tests I found out that I cannot achieve accurate color with any of the tints of this color. I did not tested with tints of other colors yet.
This is how you can find out yourself. Make few boxes in quark or indesign, fill it with 100, 80, 60, 40, 20% of PMS 3308. Rip it as Spot and proof it as spot.
What you will get is good match on solid, not bad on 80% but the rest of them will change gradually to taupe/beige color.
I also have gmg rip driving my inkjet proofers. No problem at all. Every tint is green.
