Juergen Roesch is now nicknamed "The Juergenator" and publishes a monthly column in the trueColors magazine published by GMG in the UK for their domestic customers (international customers can download it from
trueColors: GMGColor - no login required). There is even a Chinese version (available at
GMGcolor).
You'll find plenty of information in there on ColorServer, as it is the Juergenator's favourite product because of its almost unlimited versatility and unrivaled quality.
- RGB to CMYK separation
- CMYK separation standardisation
- output space transformation
- TAC control
- resolution adjustment (use full res camera RGB in your incoming PDF)
- sharpening (GMG's 3D sharpening looks great in print)
and even more:
- use it to drive all different kinds of digital print devices like Indigo, Durst, Vutek, Inca, UV, solvent, ... (for easy profiling add the SmartProfiler Add-On - next month's trueColors will have a few stories on that product)
We got plenty of industry references from the smallest shops all the way up to the likes of Polestar (you mentioned you are from Sheffield) or IKEA (featured in one of our earliest trueColors).
...and if you're in doubt, contact Juergen Roesch directly at
[email protected]
Cheers,
Juergen
PS: yup - that's me - and thanks for all the recommendations from all over the world
PPS: and "HI" to Gordo, still remember being once a panel speaker 10 years ago with him at a Seybold in San Francisco (long time ago ...)
