Graph Expo 09

Green Printer

Registered Users
We have received calls from Graph Expo 09 representatives asking if the person or persons registered are going to attend the Expo.

Has anyone else had such an experience?

I got a call the other day asking if I was going to attend. The only thing I can't remember is whether is was someone from GraphExpo or if it was from a particular vendor who will be at the show...

Cheers,

Is it that people who attended last year but haven't registered for this year are getting called?
Or have you registered for this year and they are following up?

I've registered for Print 09 and have received my tickets but haven't received a phone call. But maybe it's because I'm in Canada?

best, gordon p

Went last year, have tix for this year.
Maybe I got the call since I haven't signed up for anything, or booked a Hotel.

For all those attending Print this year I'd like to invite you all to come to the Crossroads booth. I'll be working the booth again this year. If anyone would like to come by and just say hello I'd love to meet you and put a face to screen name. And if you'd like a demo or more information on something I'd be happy to do that too. No pressure, no hidden agenda.

Crossroads is an "ecosystem" that Enfocus created to give equal opportunity for vendors to tie into the SWITCH family of products. For example, Callas is a member of the Crossroads community and enjoys as much support as anyone else in plugging in their pdfToolbox Server product which is a direct competitor to Enfocus PitStop Server. Similarly Alwan and ColorLogic get equal access. The idea is to create a community of developers around the SWITCH brand to allow users to configure their workflow with the products that they choose to integrate. Likewise other developers are welcome to develop "configurators", control scripts, that control other applications not already bundled with the product. As a PowerSWITCH user you can create your own configurator to execute/control AutoCAD if you wanted.

There is no question that attendace will be down this year - regardless of the fact it is a PRINT year. There have been several concessions by the show promoters to try and keep vendors such as ourselves from cancelling our exhibit space due to the current economic conditions (we never gave that any thought). I am told that pre-registration for vendors has been extended through next week - another sign it will be slim pickings.

Curious to hear if the calls are coming from the show promoters or vendors at the show...

Sad to see so much pessimism... I'll be there and I'm broke as hell! I'm actually looking forward to seeing new opportunity. Grand optimism about the future at this trade-show is what made me dive head first into this industry to begin with. What happened to the pride and optimism?

While my statement might seem pessimistic, it does not mean we will head to the event with our heads hung low. We have new equipment and solutions that complement the transformation occuring in today's printing environment. We feel that we can garner a larger share of sales versus our competitors due to our quality, excellent reputation, and our American manufacturing keeps the costs down when compared to several others. I am simply stating that the numbers will be low when compared to either the GRAPH EXPO or PRINT events of years past. What we can say, however, is that the quality of the customer coming to the show will be higher - i.e. they are more prone to buying versus kicking the tires.

We hope to see you there - stop by and say hello (booth 3429)!

I have to agree with Alex and Challenge... Although my suspicion is that the numbers are going to be low at the show, the quality of people there is going to be high. I know I'm looking forward to meeting the people who are at the show... although I know many customers and friends that won't be able to make it this year and I'll miss seeing them.

Obviously... I hope to see all our customers that are there, as well as meet many new ones at the show.
