In business nothing has really changed. To succeed, companies must supply services and products that customers want and that is done by innovation.

The culture and business environment of print/graphic communications from vendor to provider to customer is not conducive to nor supportive of innovation.

IMHO, if innovation comes it'll likely come from outside of the industry.

Best, gordo

Just now the price is 1.04 Euro. A 6% drop today so far.

Is something happening to Heidelberg?

A little scary. The price has today gone below 1 Euro to 0.97 Euro. This is the lowest price so far. At some point, do they get delisted as can happen in the Dow?

The announcement of the change of CEO has not seemed to help.

And, that's what they get for giving away consumables in the Great Package Deals of the Novo era!

Over the last two days, there has been some unusually high volumes in the amount of stock traded for Heidelberg and this has given the stock price a nice pop.

Could it be that the new CEO is buying back shares?
Something is happening and could be of interest.

Interesting. Over the last 3 days, the volume of stock traded for Heidelberg was 4 to 5 times the average. Normally the recent volume has been much lower than the average.

The stock price has been increased by about 20%.

Since the volumes have been so consistently high, I suspect it is an organized buyback by the new CEO.

I am curious to see how long this trend goes. If it is a buyback, at least this new CEO knows when it is the right time to buy their own stocks. Not like the last CEO. :)

While it's nice to see them making some intelligent business decisions I wish they realized how dire their situation still truly is. I experienced the typical Heidelberg "we're the best at everything, always have been, and always will be" and "our way is the only way and it is not open to any questioning or criticism" attitude for the umpteenth time today. This whole situation has disappointedly not been a humbling experience for many inside of HDM.

Today the Heidelberg stock price closed down to 1 Euro. Back to about the same point it was two months ago when it seemed like the stock was being artificially pushed higher.

The interesting thing today was that the volume of stock traded was almost 10 times the normal volume. Todays drop was almost 9%.

Has anyone heard of any news that would have caused such a change?

Maybe it was due to their second quarter results that were just released two days ago. ???

Interesting surge in the Heidelberg stock price. It has gained more than 40% on higher volumes since the beginning of December.

Is this gain for real or will it drop off as it did in early November?

Interesting to follow.
