I recently purchased a HP designjet 4000. Initially the black would not print, not surprising as the printer had been sitting for a unknown and lengthy period. After replacing the print head, ink cartridge and print head cleaner I ran a test print. At this time the printer spewed ink all over, filling up the print head carriage and making a general mess all over the inside and dripping onto the floor. After reseating the print head cartridge and cleaning up, I tried again. This was done three times with no success.
Has anyone had similar issues and if so what was the fix? I,m open to all suggestions before I haul it to the recycling depot.
