Hi,
One of my client is checking the possibility of uv varnish coating above hybrid inks wet on wet(with no inter duct drying). Will this result in color chage? Pl help

Not a good idea

Not a good idea

It's not a good result when you do this. Any ink: conventional, hybrid and UV - ink should be cured before UV coating them. What could happen will and can be different everytime. The ink will not dry, the coating will not stick/cure, or the coating will cure unevenly; shiny in light ink areas and flat in heavier areas. :(
If you do not have inter-deck lamps, a second pass with the coating would be best.

If you do not properly cure the Hybrid inks prior to coating you risk the possibility that the Coating will 'Dive' into the ink resulting in poor and uneven gloss. Hybrid inks work ok wet trapping each other depending on ink coverage but should always be cured prior to any coating being applied.
