InDesign Pallets

As good as CS3 is, there seems to be a very annoying little problem with the pallets. I dock them on the right side in 2 colums, and some pallets, like "charakter" or "stroke" suddenly expand to double with when you click on them. "transform" is another one.

Any solution, or did somebody came across the problem yet?

Just curious, is that workspace a default workspace out of indesign, or is it a workspace that you created yourself and saved?
