Ink misting on Vutek QS3200

If you are talking about expanded PVC foam like Sintra we experienced it recently. Relative humidity was over 45% which should have taken care of static. Our misting was not consistant, sometime near heavy copy and sometimes a few inches from the print. Tried raising the humidity, using known digital print ready material without any luck. Found that the mist had very poor adhesion to the board and were able to remove most of it with a Mr Clean magic eraser. Purchased a TAKK Curtain Air Ionizer and eliminated 90% of the problem by passing air across the feed direction through the machine.
