Hello guys

We bought a used Creo Trendsetter 3244 CTP, The reseller sent us a KODAK SWORD plate processor, unfortunately it seems impossible to get sword plates in my country, just Kodak ELECTRA, LH-PJ fuji and Xingraphic a chinese brand.

The sword chemicals are not reselled also.

The installer told us that with this kind of plate processor we only can use sword plates.

Do you think I could made some modifications in the processor to put other kind of plates in the sword processor?

BTW my plates are going to be used in short runs; at max 10k impressions.

I would contact Xingraph graphics at info @xingraphics.com and ask them. they may have a local dealer in your area.

The problem, and you should check with local Kodak rep, as I may be wrong the sword plate uses spray bar technology and brush roller. Maybe Kodak local service cna give you info

Well, a Kodak representative told me that. So the only option I have is buying another plate processor?

maybe I will have to import plates from USA, any resellers of sword plates and consumables in Miami?

Here is a thought... why not run a no process plate like the Thermal Direct from Kodak or the Fuji Plate. Then you do not need a processor and you could sell the one you have

You could call pitman co in miami or xpedx both carry the Kodak product. Check the internet for local numbers here in So Florida.

with such a small run processless seems to a logical choice for you. Also there is the Fuji Pro-T brand. I am sure that Fuji has a dealership somewhere in mexico that can assit you.
